Jour 7

Mieux vaut Qatar que jamais

Oui le jeu de mot du titre est nul, oui ça n’a rien à voir avec les îles Lofoten, mais l’officialisation du transfert de Gameiro et la rumeur Leonardo me sauvent de la panne d’inspiration pour le résumé de la journée…

Revenons à notre périple car voilà déjà une semaine que nous avons quitté Paname !

Départ du camping de Lyngsvær vers 10h pour filer directement vers Henningsvær, surnommée « la petite Venise des îles Lofoten » et chaudement recommandée à la fois par le Routard et les routards. On repère à l’embranchement avec l’E10 une plage de sable blanc qui pourrait servir pour la baignade prévue le lendemain.

Grosse déception en arrivant à Henningsvær : est-ce la fatigue ou sommes-nous juste blasé de toutes les merveilles que l’on a croisé jusqu’à présent ? Toujours est-il que le lieu ne nous laisse pas un souvenir impérissable, disons que c’est mignon sans plus. Une marche très courte nous emmène sur une petite colline qui surplombe la ville et culmine à bien 50m de haut avec une magnifique antenne de télévision à côté (ça se sent qu’on a pas aimé le patelin non ?). L’horloge de l’école affiche une heure de retard par rapport à nos montres et nous met le doute (« Ils n’ont pas un décalage horaire avec la France ici au fait ? »).

Au retour pour rejoindre la route principale on fait une halte sur la plage qui possède même un terrain de beach-volley, on croise un gigantesque lac d’eau potable, puis un tunnel effrayant et dangereux car complètement plongé dans l’obscurité par endroit.

Arrivés à bon port, il nous faut choisir un camping parmi les trois mieux notés du guide (« Ca a dû pas mal changer en 8 ans non ? »).

La tente est montée en vitesse et sur conseils de la réceptionniste, nous partons en quête d’une plage pour se baigner dès cette après-midi. Il parait que l’eau est à la même température qu’en Bretagne l’été grâce à l’influence d’un courant marin chaud, le Golfstream. Après avoir tourné pas mal en rond, deux norvégiens nous indiquent le chemin d’un petit lagon et de son eau à… 10°C ! WTF ! Ils ont déjà été en Bretagne en Juillet ceux-là ???

Point de lagon à l’horizon, mais une plage boueuse et remplie d’algues. Dégoûtés on mange un morceau en se demandant à quel endroit on a tourné du mauvais côté. Ô miracle, des randonneurs sortant de nulle part nous aiguillent vers la suite du chemin qui débouche sur une magnifique plage de sable blanc sans âme qui vive. Avec un grand courage nous nous jetons à la mer. Bilan :

-         30 minutes de crawl selon les organisateurs

-         30 secondes d’immersion partielle pour la photo du point de vue de la police

Cela ne nous empêche pas de tracer « We did it ! » dans le sable pour immortaliser, au moins jusqu’à la prochaine marée, le fait qu’on se soit baigné dans la mer de Norvège, des centaines de kilomètres au-dessus du cercle polaire !

Retour à la case camping pour se changer et ne pas geler sur place, puis nous partons enfin à l’abordage de Svolvær. Un couple de français fait la course avec nous: le mari lâche sa femme et nous attaque dans la grande côte, belle réplique de notre part puis échappée dans la descente.

On s’arrête sur le côté non pas pour les attendre mais pour prendre des photos devant le panneau qui marque l’entrée de la ville : l’objectif est atteint non sans peine (pour information le trajet aller depuis Å représente environ 130 km par la route principale ; avec nos détours quotidiens il faut bien en rajouter 100 de plus). L’impressionnant paquebot de l’Express Côtier bat le rappel pour les passagers qui ont fait escale, les employés municipaux dressent les chapiteaux destinés à accueillir la foule pour la fête du week-end prochain, et l’office du tourisme nous ouvre grand ses portes. La fille à l’accueil nous conseille un point de vue un peu à l’écart où sèchent des centaines de morue et un bar à cocktail qui nous permettra d’apprécier une énième bière (et le physique très avantageux de la serveuse).

Tous les distributeurs d’argent sont hors service mais vu le coût de la vie ici, c’est plutôt une bonne nouvelle pour nos portefeuilles. Nous levons l’ancre en même temps que l’Express Côtier direction Kabelvåg avec la volonté de trouver un restaurant qui sert des spécialités locales. Belle désillusion puisque le troquet de la place centrale a fini son service et ne propose plus que des pizzas. Il faudra se contenter d’une garniture bœuf arrosée à la bière en refaisant le monde à coups de pensées philosophiques (« les Afterworks c’est pour les cassos célibataires qui bossent tellement pour gagner 100 euros de plus par mois qu’ils voient jamais de meufs ! »).

A la sortie, une belle surprise attend Axel, sa selle ayant été souillée par une mouette d’humeur taquine. Il fera le tour du village pour les photos de coucher de soleil et le retour au camping en danseuse : mieux que l’entraînement du Club Med Gym. Je frôle pour ma part l’accident diplomatique avec ma crème du visage en voulant l’étaler sur la brosse à dents à la place du dentifrice. Fatigue ? Bière ? Peu importe allons nous coucher…
